Our Services
Change is imminent, and we want that change to be positive. So we've designed our services and programs to fulfill a specific purpose: to inform society. The Speak Out Team (SOT) assists Massachusetts Families for Kids (MFFK) in educating, mentoring, consulting and presenting permanency-related topics all over North America.
By participating in 60+ events a year, SOT has a profound impact on youth, parents and professionals alike. To date we've offered 350 conferences, trainings and presentations throughout Massachusetts, the United States and Canada.
Engagements are divided into categories according to their primary objectives:
- To educate and inform parents and professionals about issues related to foster care and adoption
- To mentor, inform and be role models to youth
- To provide training along with educational and social support for SOT members

"The life experiences shared by MFFK Speak Out Team were … essential to change public policy concerning permanency. The stories were an accurate, powerful tool that educated policymakers about the fundamental need for permanency for children and youth in the Commonwealth. Thank you for your courage and honesty." - Maureen Ferris, Executive Director, Mass. Legislative Children's Caucus
